THE OLYMPIC LONDON CREDIT CRUNCHER
TUESDAY 2nd MARCH 2010
The Outing was an unexpected addition to our published list. Details were circulated at both Deyncourt Ladies and our Club., and such was the interest a second coach has been booked and therefore there are still some places available.
The day will start by meeting the tour guide at Stratford at 10.30 a.m. for morning coffee and biscuits in a lovely pub to which we shall return for lunch. During the morning we will drive over to Pudding Mill and Fish Island in the Lower Lea Valley and a canny viewing point for the Olympic Park. After lunch we begin with a drive through the ever changing landscape of the Royal Docks. Then we cross the Thames for an interesting little drive out to see the longest parade ground in the world over at the Woolwich Barracks where some of the Olympic shooting events will be held. Finally we stop at the O2 to buy a cup of tea.
As ever walking is kept to a minimum. Please note that the tour does not take us physically into the Olympic Park because of security and health and safety restrictions.
The cost is £28.45 per head and includes morning coffee and biscuits and a roast beef or vegetarian lunch.
Payment in January 2010.
